Sustainability Manager PMO
Where will you work?
The company you will work for is a worldwide company in the chemical sector with several locations in the Netherlands. Your working place will be Amsterdam.
Availability: 38 hours per week
Duration: at least 6-7 months
Purpose of the role:
The Sustainability Manager PMO, that reports directly to the Executive Committee, is responsible for developing the company's sustainability agenda in close collaboration with the various functions and businesses. The Sustainability function works very closely with the other functions and businesses through the so-called Sustainability ecosystem. Through this ecosystem, the team coordinates the company's sustainability activities. The Sustainability function also translates external insights and cross-functional best practices on sustainability into business opportunities.
What is your role?
The Sustainability Manager PMO reports directly to the Director Sustainability and is based out of the company's headquarters in Amsterdam.
The Sustainability Manager PMO will provide operational support in the development of the new sustainability agenda and the operationalization of the newly created Sustainability ecosystem.
Part of the role is doing external analyses as input to the sustainability agenda, including competitor benchmarks, market research and best practice identification.
Another part of the role is internal focused, and involves collaborating with the various functions on sustainability topics, supporting workshop and meeting preparation, including preparing impactful presentations, taking ownership of the Corporate Sustainability- and Sustainability Ecosystem SharePoint site, developing templates, etc.
The position requires a hands-on approach and an ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
What is your profile?
- Master or Bachelor level education in business development, strategy, marketing, business administration or related area
- Five years relevant work experience
- Strong affinity with Sustainability
- Project experience
- Excellent in PowerPoint presentations and Excel
- English language skills need to be excellent (writing and speaking)
